Join Terri & get your creative juices flowing in this fun and uplifting art class! This class will offer you an opportunity to connect with your "inner child" and play with tempera paint, watercolors, colored pencils, and crayons! You will be encouraged to release any blockages or limiting thoughts around producing “perfect” works of art. This is not a technique class, or a painting class with a particular theme or directive, instead the class encourages you to experiment with color, design, and your inner vision, without striving to achieve a particular outcome with your art. There will be no critiques or analysis of your creative work, only support for your process! Spontaneous in nature and whimsical, this art experience can bring you in touch with your authentic self and your joyful essence. (For those of you who attended the "Intuitive Painting" class, we will have a different format for this class! You will be encouraged to connect with the community, share your art, and enjoy your art process! Also, I will be playing lively, upbeat music to accompany your creative endeavors! This class will have more of a "painting party" atmosphere!) This class welcomes you to: Access your authentic, beautiful, creative self Play with paint and return to childlike curiosity and wonder Trust in your intuitive wisdom, and allow for the unexpected Be present in the moment, free-spirited, and spontaneous in your art Be uniquely YOU! This class asks you to release: Any self-critical thoughts about your ability to create “beautiful art” Self-evaluations or comparisons to others while painting Unhelpful mind chatter around creating a “perfect” piece Blockages in discovering your inner truths and deeper “knowing” of self A focus on a particular outcome or finished product More class details: This class is open to complete beginners as well as advanced painters. We will be using tempera paints, watercolors, colored pencils, and crayons for our class materials. Please wear old clothes to class! (Tempera paint in general washes out well, but some colors are more staining than others.) Please wear old, comfortable clothing for painting! We will begin and end class with a circle gathering to discuss any insights or discoveries that individuals would like to share.
